Sacraments

Baptism is the Sacrament whereby Original Sin is washed away and a person becomes a Child of God and a member of the Church. It is usually conferred on children soon after birth and on non-baptized adults after a period of catechism, study, and prayer. For those interested, please fill out the Baptism request/information form included on this website.

The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens a baptized Christian, making them into a soldier of Christ, ready to profess and stand up for their Faith to the world. It is conferred by the Bishop every several years and should be preceded by a review of catechism and a time of prayer. For those interested, please fill out the Confirmation request/information form on this website.

Penance
Penance is the Sacrament whereby sins committed after Baptism are remitted by the absolution of the priest after the confession of a penitent. Confessions are usually heard on First Fridays as well as Saturdays and Sundays before Mass, and upon request.

Holy Matrimony
The union of man and woman in marriage was raised by our Lord into a Sacrament which symbolizes His close union with the Church. A valid, Catholic marriage is indissoluble in this life. Couples, at least one of whom is a practicing, traditional Catholic and a member of this parish, who are interested in marriage must contact one of the priests. Before a marriage can take place, the couple must undergo a series of instructions.

As Catholics, we believe that when we receive Holy Communion, we receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Around the age of 7, children will be prepared by the sisters to receive their First Holy Communion. Parents, please fill out the First Holy Communion information form included on this website.

The Last Rites
Upon request, the priests will anoint practicing, traditional Catholics who are seriously sick with the Sacrament of Extreme Unction. He can also hear their confession as well as give them Holy Viaticum - their final Holy Communion - and the Apostolic Blessing. Please call the priest directly and do not wait until the final moments to call for him, so that there is plenty of time to make sure that the sick individual is provided for. It is of greatest importance that we pass into the hands of God with all the helps of the Church.
